Based on Robert Ludlum's novel, a man was found floating in the Mediterranean Sea with two gunshot wounds in his back and a device with the number of a Swiss safe deposit box embedded in his hip. When he reaches shore and finds the Swiss bank, he learned the name Jason Bourne after finding a passport under the name in the safe deposit box, which included various other items such as: guns, money from other countries, and other international passports with different names. He begins to discover his true identity while fighting off attempts on his life by CIA assassins, eventually realizing that he is one such assassin who failed to complete his most recent mission. Bourne ends any connections or ties to the CIA and unites with Marie Kreutz, whom drove him to and from places throughout the novel and money, a woman who helped him learn about his most recent actions prior to his memory loss. Bourne's conflict with the CIA reaches an all-time high when he decides to take initiative and take the fight to the CIA's doorstep.
